Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is back this week full of amazing performances!

The June 13th episode of the show was hosted by MBLAQ’s Thunder and Lee Joon. Tonight’s show features highly anticipated comeback performances from After School, Ivy, SISTAR, MBLAQ, Rainbow, Nell and Skarf, as well as debuts of Super Junior-M’s Henry, Bumkey, Boys Republic and Bangtan Boys.

Other performers tonight included Shinhwa, 2PM, EXO, VIXX, 100% and a special stage from labelmates Huh Gak and Apink’s Eunji.

And for the highlight of the show, Lee Hyori won on this week’s chart with her latest single, “Bad Girls”!

Showing their upgraded selves, MBLAQ is finally back with their highly-anticipated track “Smoky Girl” on this week’s episode of ‘M! Countdown’!

“Smoky Girl” is the title track off of their fifth mini album, ‘Sexy Beat’, marking a return after a year and a half. The album features the works of Primary, Zion T, Simon D, Maybee, and many talented artists.

Not only in the music production, but MBLAQ has also directly participated in the visuals as well. The comeback album showcases a sexy that goes beyond the sexy MBLAQ have shown before.

Showcasing their sexy ‘moulin rouge’ concept, SISTAR hit the stage of ‘M! Countdown’ performing their latest title song, “Give It To Me”!

“Give It To Me” is the title song off of their second official album. The song was produced by hit maker Duble Sidekick, who also behind their summer hit song “Loving U”, and is arranged by famous producer Kim Do Hun.

SISTAR transformed into divas, giving off their sexy, gorgeous charms. The perfect harmony of the group’s alluring performance and splendid stage setting captivated eyes of fans.

The best performance girl group, After School, is making a return with the highly-anticipated comeback stage on ‘M! Countdown’ for sixth maxi single title song, “First Love”!

After School has been known for their unique concept for their songs, such as playing the drums or tap dancing, and for their next single “First Love”, they will be showcasing their perfect pole dancing skills.

Produced by hitmaker Brave Brothers, “First Love” will give a lasting impression with high quality performance like watching a Las Vegas show. The group is said to have gone through months of practices to showcase yet another powerful show.

Singer Huh Gak and A Pink’s Jung Eunji have come together to perform their collaborative single “Short Hair” for the first time during a special stage on this week’s ‘M! Countdown’.

“Short Hair” was produced by the hit composer Duble Sidekick and serves as the ‘BLUE’ episode of ‘A Cube For Season’ project album.

This is isn’t the first time Huh Gak and Eunji worked in a duet as the two singers previously sang together in the song “Knowing We’re Going to Break Up”. Their beautiful harmony will coolly blow the summer heat away.

Female soloist Ivy has finally returned to the local music scene to take back her former title as K-pop’s sexy queen with her new dance track, “I Dance”.

“I Dance” is an experimental song, combined with tango, hip hop and electronic music, that tells a story about a woman who sings and dances to forget the pain of love. The song was written and composed by Park Jin Young, and features Wonder Girls’ rapper Yubin.

Colorful girl group Rainbow has returned to the spotlight yet again with their latest track “Sunshine”, showcasing an uplifting and bright concept!

The group released their new album ‘Rainbow Syndrome- Part 2’ in June 4th, just after four months since the release of the Part 1 back in February. The title song “Sunshine” will be a great track for the summer which features Rainbow’s trademark colorful concept.

Marking their official debut, rookie male idol group Boys Republic performed their single “Party Rock” for the first time on this week’s episode of ‘M! Countdown’.

Boys Republic is a group produced by Park Geun Tae, Universal Music Group, and Jung Hae Ik, who also helped produced first generation idols, H.O.T, S.E.S, and g.o.d. The group is made up of 5 members Wonjun, Dabin, Suwoong, Sungjun and Minsoo.

“Party Rock” is a trendy electronic dance song that features Boys Republic’s individual and unique charms.

Rock band Nell is finally back in the spotlight with new album ‘Escaping Gravity’ featuring the title track, “Ocean of Light”. Hitting the stage of ‘M! Countdown’ this week for their comeback performance, the band impressed with a new uniquely alluring style of music.

“Ocean of Light” is making a great story with Nell’S various sounds all mixed together beautifully in one song. The song is groovy electronic rock song that tells a dream of finding ego and running for a positive future.

Bulletproof Boy Scouts a.k.a BTS or Bangtan Boys are finally taking their first step onto the music world with ‘2COOL 4SKOOL’ album and title song “No More Dream”

The group’s debut album contains hip hop music that the group created with passion. The members have participated in writing the lyrics and composition to show off their extraordinary skills.

Bangtan Boys is a 7-member hip hop consisting members Rap Monster, SUGA, Jin, J-Hope, Jungkook, Jimin and V, who have been training for the past few years under Big Hit Entertainment.

After almost 10 months since the release of first single ‘Oh! Dance’, Korean-Singaporean girl group Skarf returned with their first mini-album ‘Luv Virus’. Kickstarting their promotions, they performed their comeback stage on ‘M! Countdown’.

The main track, which is also titled “Luv Virus”, is a bright, refreshing track that perfectly fits this summer. The song is composed by Lee Ki and hitmaker Seo Young Bae, whom had composed Ailee’s “Heaven”, Orange Caramel’s “Lipstick” and also Skarf’s “My Love” from their debut single.

Returning to the music scene as a solo artist, Super Junior-M’s Henry kicked off his solo debut performance of “Trap” on the June 13th episode of Mnet ‘M! Countdown’.

“Trap” is decribed as an urban dance pop number with a unique blend of strong drum beats, piano and strings. The song is accompanied by two SM artists, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and SHINee’s Taemin, raising much anticipation and excitement.

Henry is someone who not only can sing and dance, but also play the piano and violin. He has also previously composed songs with composer team, Noise Bank. Through his new album, Henry will be revealing his own unique style of music and show off his many talents.

MBLAQ’s Thunder and Lee Joon will be hosting this week’s Mnet ‘M! Countdown’.

On June 13, Thunder and Lee Joon will serve as special MCs for ‘M! Countdown’ as well as performing their comeback stage for “Smoky Girl” with the other MBLAQ members.

The day’s episode will also feature the anticipated comeback performances of After School, Ivy, SISTAR, Rainbow, Nell and Skarf, as well as debuts of Super Junior-M’s Henry, Bumkey and Boys Republic.


Mnet recently announced the first line up of artists and now it finally revealed the second lineup for the highly-anticipated ‘M Countdown Halo-Indonesia’.

In addition to the six previously revealed groups, B1A4, After School, 2NE1, 4minute, SISTAR, Roy Kim, Verbal Jint, VIXX and Eru would also be joining the ‘M Countdown Halo-Indonesia’ which will be held at the Mata Elang International Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 3rd of July.

Following the successful show in Taiwan, Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown’ will be heading in Indonesia this coming July. The first line up has been unveiled for the tour and it is known that popular groups such as Shinhwa, 2PM, B2ST, SECRET, MBLAQ and Kim Jong Kook would be joining the ‘M Countdown Halo-Indonesia’.

‘M Countdown Halo-Indonesia’ will be held at the Mata Elang International Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 3rd of July. A great number of top K-Pop artists will visit the country to meet with the fans. Also, there will be collaboration stages between Korean and Indonesian artists.

Mnet has announced that its popular weekly music program will go on its 2013 global tour ‘M COUNTDOWN Halo-Indonesia’ at the Mata Elang International Stadium located in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 3rd of July.

‘M COUNTDOWN Halo-Indonesia’ will be held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Indonesia. Also, year 2013 is has been announced as 2013 Korea-Indonesia Friendship Year.

‘M! Countdown’ has been held in Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan in the past, but this will be the first visit in Indonesia. To celebrate the event, the stages will be filled with songs selected from Weekly Charts of ‘M! Countdown’ from April to June. A great number of top K-Pop artists will visit the country to meet with the fans. Also, there will be collaboration stages between Korean and Indonesian artists.
