Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is back this week full of amazing performances!

The June 13th episode of the show was hosted by MBLAQ’s Thunder and Lee Joon. Tonight’s show features highly anticipated comeback performances from After School, Ivy, SISTAR, MBLAQ, Rainbow, Nell and Skarf, as well as debuts of Super Junior-M’s Henry, Bumkey, Boys Republic and Bangtan Boys.

Other performers tonight included Shinhwa, 2PM, EXO, VIXX, 100% and a special stage from labelmates Huh Gak and Apink’s Eunji.

And for the highlight of the show, Lee Hyori won on this week’s chart with her latest single, “Bad Girls”!

Shinhwa has done it again! The longest-running idol group has sold out the Seoul leg of their ongoing Asia tour in just five minutes.

On June 12 at 8PM KST, Shinhwa opened the ticket sales for the ‘2013 Shinhwa Grand Finale: The Classic in Seoul’ which will be held on August 3 and 4. As soon as ticketing site was opened, all of 27,000 seats were out in just five minutes and the flood of requests even crashed the servers for short period of time, frustrating many fans.

This is their second time in 2013 to sell out all of their tickets for concert after their sold-out 15th anniversary concert in March. For their upcoming Seoul finale, Shinhwa is said to be preparing something better, and different concert from the previous one.

Meanwhile, Shinhwa will continue their ‘2013 Shinhwa Grand Tour The Classic’ at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai on June 22.


Having already wrapped up their music show promotions, Shinhwa continues to dominate music charts with their latest title song, “This Love”.

According to music website Soribada, Shinhwa’s comeback song “This Love” remained number one again for the first week of June, making it the fourth consecutive week to be on top since its release on May 16th.

MBLAQ’s new song “Smoky Girl” ranked second on the chart while 4men’s OST single Only You placed third. EXO’s comeback track “Wolf” and Rainbow’s “Sunshine” also ranked within the top five of the chart.

Meanwhile, Shinhwa is currently busy with their ‘2013 Shinhwa Grand Tour: The Classic’ which kickstarted in Hong Kong in June 8th.


After the sucessful promotions for “This Love”, Shinhwa launched its 2013 world tour with first concert in Hong Kong.

The group held the first show of ‘2013 SHINHWA GRAND TOUR “THE CLASSIC” in HONGKONG’ on June 8th at ASIA WORLD EXPO with 15,000 cheering fans in the audience. Not only it’s the first show of their new Asia tour, it was also their first solo concert in the country.

About 1,000 fans waited at the Hong Kong International Airport to see the group to touch down on June 7. There were also a big crowd of fans near Marriott Hotel where the group stayed for a night.

According to SHINHWA Company, “Even though it was Shinhwa’s first solo concert in Hong Kong, a great number of fans attended the concert. All of the members and staffs were very excited for the fans’ warm cheers.”

Starting with Hong Kong, Shinhwa plans to continue performing in Shanghai, Taiwan, Tokyo and Beijing, before finally wrapping up with another set of concerts in Seoul.

Tomorrow on the 8th, Shinhwa is holding ‘2013 SHINHWA GRAND TOUR ‘2013 Shinhwa Grand Tour: The Classic in Hong Kong’ at Asia World Expo in Hong Kong as the first stop of its Asia tour. This is the group’s first time in Hong Kong.

A representative stated, “This is the first time for Shinhwa to hold a concert in Hong Kong since they debuted, so the concert will be especially meaningful not only to the fans but also for the members of Shinhwa themselves. They put a lot of effort to show their best so please show a lot of love and support.”

‘2013 Shinhwa Grand Tour: The Classic’ will visit six different countries including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan, Tokyo and Beijing, and will have a grand finale in Seoul, expecting total of more than 100,000 audiences.


Shinhwa’s Eric had to stop a show recording because he had to go to the bathroom.

On the broadcast of TvN ‘Baek Ji Yeon’s People Inside’ aired on the 4th, Shinhwa members appeared as special guests to convey their stories for the past 15 years.

While talking about each members’ personal troubles, Eric suddenly said, “I’ve been going through many difficult things in my life, but honestly, I’m going through one right now. I need to go to the bathroom”, and everyone bursts into laughter.

Jun Jin said, “I think it is a quite serious situation” and Eric without any hesitation got up from the set and rushed to the bathroom. Later, Eric explained, “Before coming to the recording, I drink a lot of water to relax.”


Lee Min Woo has been voted as the least popular member of longest-running idol group, Shinhwa.

Shinhwa appeared as guest during the June 3rd broadcast of tvN’s ‘Talk Show Taxi’ and member Lee Min Woo was chosen as the least popular member among the production staffs. The poll was done among 209 staffs to find the most popular Shinhwa member among staffs.

Kim Dong Wan was voted as the most popular member followed by members Eric, Andy, Shin Hye Sung, and Jun Jin. Lee Min Woo was voted as the least popular member among the staffs. MC Kim Gura said, “There must be some reason,” trying to comfort him, trying to comfort him.

However, on the May 12th episode of jTBC’s ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’, Lee Min Woo was chosen as the number one favorite member among mothers.


Following the successful show in Taiwan, Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown’ will be heading in Indonesia this coming July. The first line up has been unveiled for the tour and it is known that popular groups such as Shinhwa, 2PM, B2ST, SECRET, MBLAQ and Kim Jong Kook would be joining the ‘M Countdown Halo-Indonesia’.

‘M Countdown Halo-Indonesia’ will be held at the Mata Elang International Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 3rd of July. A great number of top K-Pop artists will visit the country to meet with the fans. Also, there will be collaboration stages between Korean and Indonesian artists.

Shinhwa won the 1st place for this week's MBC's 'Show! Music Core' show defeating Lee Hyori.

MBC's 'Show! Music Core' was hosted by SHINee's MinhoKim So Hyun, and Noh Hong Chul.

Shinhwa proved that they are men with honor as they kept their promise to their fans.

Shinhwa promised that they would do a portion of "The Solver" choreography if they won on 'Music Bank. And they won!

After that victory, a few of the members did a little bit of the choreo on the encore stage, but they made sure that you could play it all over again as they uploaded the video on You Tube.

Shinhwa’s 11th album is continuing its domination across Asia

The group’s 11th album ‘The Classic’ has placed in the number one spots in Taiwan, ranking #1 on Five Music and Chia Chia Record’s weekly charts. In addition, Shinhwa topped Five Top’s Japan and Korean Weekly Album chart for the week of May 17 to May 23.

An official from Shinhwa’s management agency Shinhwa Company said, “We are glad that Shinhwa topped in Taiwanese music charts. They will be paying back many fans’ love with a great Asia Tour.”
